"I always thought that I had above average intelligence, I did well at school and continued having success at Uni, where I graduated from a top University with a good degree (2:1 honors).
You start to feel that being pretty successful your whole academic life should be enough to make getting a high paying graduate job pretty easy. But when I graduated I found myself struggling to get any sort of graduate job, even the most low paying, partly I guess because of the high volume of applicants and partly because I kept failing whenever I had to do an aptitude test.
I couldn't understand why I was apparently so bad at aptitude tests or why this meant I wasn't good enough for the job. At school I had always been good at maths, I just chose to do a different type of subject at University and I guess my math skills just detoriated over time.
It reached a point where I had become so frustrated and depressed, I thought I would never be able to get a job because I couldn’t pass even the simplest aptitude test. At the point of despair I came across this site. The practice tests and information that are available to members, helped me to see where I was going wrong, it wasn’t that I had suddenly gotten terrible at maths or I couldn’t understand basic sentences, I just needed the right help and practice to become more effective. Now I never worry about doing aptitude tests, in-fact I feel great about them, I actually hope that a job will have aptitude tests as part of the assessment because I know for that part at least, with the help I have been give from this site, I'm going to be successful."
